WE'RE EXPANDING OUR MISSION!!
We've joined hands with local governments and schools, Milton Soto's Island People Recovery, Serve PR, Operation Care-Lift, Tesla along with many local heroes to directly supply food, water and basic medical assistance to remote communities in need, and now adding a school rebuilding effort with sustainability and independence at its core. There are more collaborations in the works so stay tuned.
We firmly believe that the human heart has no bounds. Thank you for your kind support thus far!!
Hello Friends & Family,
As you all know I'm Puertorican and proud of it. What you may not know is that all of my immediate and extended family - most of them elderly - still live in Puerto Rico. Due to Hurricane Maria they have no power, water, they’re low on food and prescription medications, are under curfew, are in danger of looting and can hardly be reached by phone. Some of them we haven’t heard from since the day after the storm hit. Like the rest of the island, their towns of Caguas and Fajardo have been decimated.
I can’t sit here and do nothing.
So I’m headed to San Juan, Caguas and Fajardo this Friday 9/29/17 with my friends Jessie Nelson and Robert Lechner hoping to evacuate at least five individuals, drop off supplies for the elderly at a home, and leave the neighborhood in Fajardo where my grandmother grewup with all the supplies and support we can carry. We also want to plan follow-up trips to replenish supplies and check on family, friends and neighbors and even evacuate more.
We need your help to pay for flights there and back, ground transportation to retrieve people and make deliveries, and to buy supplies. We want to set their Fajardo neighborhood up with a small communal water filtration system, food, electric generators with solar panels for basic light and devices, a shared satellite phone and personal sanitary supplies.
So, please share this and donate any amount you like. We're all struggling to make it in this crazy world, I know, but I've seen what we're capable of when we join hands. Besides, I feel all of our struggles should ultimately boil down to one question: how do I love my neighbor?
Thank you for your time and attention. If you'd like to reach out email me at email@example.com.
Love you all.
